The Haskin Farm Trail

This website has been moved to this new address.

This trail begins at the junction of Smith Road and Heriot Bay Road and takes you along a level gradient through forest to an old farm site in a grassy meadow where the old apple trees still bear fruit. From the meadow it continues onward into forest for another ten minutes or so of hiking then begins a steep descent to the beach. The trail ends at the beach along Quadra’s east side, where you face Cortes Island across Sutil Channel. You sometimes spot whales from this beach and usually hear them before you see them, with their loud ‘whooooshes’ as they blow.

Hiking time from Haskin Farm Trail car-park area to beach is about 25 minutes

Quadra’s east side is a delight for beach combers; you never know what you’ll find washed ashore there.
